I don’t have much news. I’m better than fine, on a personal level, I think. I serve in Lord Derimus’ guard unit now, and I’ve been welcomed with a sense of camaraderie, by them. It’s nice.
I hope that you’re doing well, and that the pace of the journey isn’t too much.

Antonio did right by you this time, happy to say. Just a few claw marks, no deciphering required. Good to hear you’re well. Road looks much the same day to day but it’s not the worst being apart from the army. Reminds me more now of traveling with the Inquisition, scouting ahead of the crowd, not scaring every bird in Shaldorn out of the trees at two miles’ distance. Quieter campfires, though.
Got a question for you. Might seem a strange one but don’t get wrapped up in it, it’s simple enough. Think back to when first you came here to Irkalla, out through the magisters’ basin-- tell me whether, after the High Magister was done with you, you dreamed.
Most important is that it was the first dream you had in Irkalla. If you recall it tell me what that dream was, exactly what you remember. If you don't recall tell me that. I'd explain further but can't at present. Trust me that I would if I could, and will when I can.

And no, I didn’t dream, either before being cleaned of blood or when I was made to sleep after that, before my place in this world was determined. I’ve dreamed since then, but I can’t think of anything particularly notable about them. I admit that you’ve sparked my curiosity now, and I look forward to the explanation whenever you feel able to share it.
