I know that it hasn’t been that long since you left, but maybe it will have been by the time you receive this. So far Antonio (my hawk) has proved reluctant to carry anything without catching it hard in his talons and making the message useless.
I don’t have much news. I’m better than fine, on a personal level, I think. I serve in Lord Derimus’ guard unit now, and I’ve been welcomed with a sense of camaraderie, by them. It’s nice.
I hope that you’re doing well, and that the pace of the journey isn’t too much.
It seems more urgent to write when there is bad news, unfortunately.
I sent the letter along to Neria already, but Griffith and Guts are both dead, in an attack. Their loss will truly be felt by us all.
In the effort of having some kind of good news to send to you I will include the following: what we spoke of at the party has now happened. I enjoyed it very much.
