My people — it depended, I suppose. Personally, I believe in God, that we will be called back to His side, although I’ll admit that since I’ve been in this place I’ve been trying to learn, too, of the Irkallan ways. But He is not limited the way we are, I don’t think us being here would pose Him any challenge at all. Perhaps the Irkallans go to Him as well. Perhaps we worship the same God, but in different forms. Perhaps being mortals, we can’t truly understand Him.
You’re right, that we don’t know, and yet I find it a comfort to think on. To acknowledge there are things that I don’t know.
How I long for a real bed. I may be warm at night myself but not at all the rest of the time. This weather is miserable and I’m not sure if it actually gets worse every day or if it just seeps further into me.
Still, you say you have magic. That’s remarkable and perhaps a little disturbing, I must admit. I’m glad you seem to be handling it well enough, at least. You’ll have to show me, when you’re back?
